What it does
- Summarize articles. A Summarize button appears at the bottom of article pages. Highlight text first to summarize just that part.
- Summarize YouTube videos. On a video with captions, click Summarize video and Notedly turns the transcript into notes. For a video without captions, paste the link into notedly.ai.
- Summarize PDFs. Open a text-based PDF in Chrome and summarize it in one click.
- Ask about the page. Click the Notedly icon in the toolbar to ask questions about the page you're on.
- Hide it anywhere. Hide the button for now, or always on a site.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Notedly Chrome extension free?
Yes. The extension is free to install and works with a free Notedly account, which includes 10,000 words a month. Premium raises that to 500,000 words a month for $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year.
Do I need a Notedly account?
Yes. Sign in at notedly.ai, free or paid, and the extension connects automatically. Summaries and questions count toward your plan's monthly words.
Does it summarize the whole page?
It summarizes the part of the article on your screen, or the text you highlight, up to about 1,300 words at a time. For long PDFs and videos it summarizes the first part. For a full chapter or lecture, paste it into notedly.ai.
Does it read my browsing?
No. Nothing is sent until you click Summarize or ask a question. Then only that page's text, your selection, the PDF text or the YouTube link goes to notedly.ai. We don't store the text, your questions or the answers, only your usage totals.
